Vasundara Das made her debut in Hey Ram and
was well noted for her good acting abilities
and voice. However, she did not pursue acting
and instead devoted her attention to music,
stage shows and albums. Now, she is acting in
three Hindi films of which, Ek Dastak, has gone
on floors. Asked why she did not come to Tamil,
she said that she wanted to do roles in which
the actress was portrayed in a meaningful way
rather than as a chick in the hands of the hero.
She was sad that no such role came her way.
There were only the usual song and dance and
glam doll offers. So, she turned to hone her
musical talent and take Indian music to all
corners of the globe.
