Suman’s joy knew no bounds when he was selected as villain for Sivaji. He says: “I act with Superstar again after 25 years. It was reported that they considered biggies like Amitabji, Mohanlal, Nana Patekar, Sanjay Dutt for this role. I feel excited to think that I am acting in that role. One day, suddenly a call came from Shankar’s office. I was in Chennai. I met Shankar immediately at his office. He explained me the role. I agreed happily immediately. So far I have acted in more than 250 films. But, I haven’t acted in a character like this. He took makeup test for me with all outfits of villain. Still, he is not satisfied. He is working out for that. This character is created which will bring out Navarasam in my performance. Shankar has planned the character as such. In Hindi all lead heroes act as villains. That trend is now emerging in south too. That is healthier for the industry.
