Vijayakanth has stoutly denied that he would not contest the elections to the governing body of Tamil Film Producers’ Council. The elections are scheduled for July 9. Veteran producer Rama Narayanan is widely expected to win the elections. Meanwhile, Vijayakanth is busy campaigning for the local body elections which would be held coming October. After a brief stopover at Pondy and Vridhachalam, he gets back to work. His next film would be Dharmapuri to be directed by Perarasu. The film goes on the floors on July 2.
