guest appearance in Vaathiyar with Arjun |

| The
rap genre in music got a fillip with AR
Rahman’s score in the film, Kadhalan,
more than a decade ago. Many rappers of
mixed Indian origin have made token appearances
in films which had their stories set abroad.

But,
none made much of an impression. In
Shankar’s Boyz, rapper Blaaze
created a sensation again under ARR’s
baton. He went into hiding after the
film but has now resurfaced in the
soon to be released Vaathiyar. This
film has Action King Arjun in the
lead. D. Iman has scored the music
and the song is sung by Karthik and
Blaaze. It is a remix version of the
famous folksy song, Ennadi Muniyamma
Un Kannula Maiyee.

said, ”Iman and director Venkatesh
were of the opinion that I should make an
appearance on screen as well in order to
make the song blend nicely with the rural
setting. It was wonderful working with Arjun.
He was thoroughly professional with no star
airs. Even though we shot under blistering
conditions, he made us feel at ease. I am
sure the song will surely be on everyone’s
lips”. Amen!
