might bring Mani and Yash Chopra together! |

Every
time a celebrity actor or director works
on a film, their every step is watched with
meticulous attention. Therefore, it comes
as no surprise that Manirathnam's Guru enjoys
not only the industry attention, but enough
media hype as well. The recent news doing
the rounds is that Manirathnam has joined
hands with Yash Chopra! |

Rumours
doing the rounds are that after the
box office failure of the otherwise
critically acclaimed films, Dil Se
and Yuva, distributors in Bollywood
are vary of investing in this project.
But Aditya Chopra has come forward
to buy the distribution rights for
the film, as he has inherent belief
in the potential of the film.
Readers will recall that it was Yash
Raj films that distributed Shaad Ali's
Saathiya, based on Manirathnam's super
hit film, Alaipayuthe.

But
that was an indirect connection between
the giants of Bollywood and the giants
of Kollywood. Guru however, could
be the film that directly links them,
for the first time, in a venture.
The film is said to be based on the
life of the late Dhirubhai Ambani,
though these are just rumours that
are doing the rounds. The film crew
themselves have not given any official
confirmation on this.

watch out for Guru that comes with a truly
stellar star cast, with Mithun Chakravarthy,
Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, R Madhavan,
Vidya Balan, Mallika Sherawat and Arya Babbar.
