While
finishing Sivaji’s schedules
in top gear, Shankar seems to have
decided upon his next project. Rumor
mills hovering around Kodambakkam
suggest that Shankar has struck a
deal with Adlabs Entertainment owned
by Reliance Ltd. If you might remember,
Adlabs has entered the Tamil cinema
scene co-producing Ajith’s Kreedom.
Adlabs is Reliance’s venture into the
entertainment industry in India. Adlab cinemas
currently have screens all over India in cities
like Mumbai, Delhi, Meerut, Pune, and Mangalore.
That apart, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, and Kolkata
are the next cities targeted by Adlab cinemas.
Adlab cinemas showcase the latest English, Hindi,
and regional language films and Imax releases.
If the project with Shankar materializes, Adlabs
is expected to experiment more with films in
regional languages. Meanwhile, stay tuned for
