First, there were casting issues, and then there were date troubles, then location hassles, time constraints and now finally a problem on the production front. There seems to be nothing else that can go wrong for a movie.

Thenappan has been producing Naan Kadavul thus far. But, the producer might now change. Thenappan has not been having the best of times. His last production, Vallavan that was made on quite a big budget and came after a long delay failed to live up to expectations. The producer is reported to have incurred losses. Now, Naan Kadavul is turning out to be a demanding project. With Bala not ready to compromise on any details (rightly so) and the script demanding a huge number of extras and extremely difficult and untried locations, the budget is not likely to remain on the lower side. As things look now, an overshoot seems very much on the cards. Keeping all this in mind, Thenappan seems to be readying himself to sell the movie. Vijaya Combines is being rumored as the production house that has shown interest.

The news has not yet been confirmed but it is more or less an open secret. Meanwhile the Naan Kadavul unit has just returned after an extensive schedule in the northern part of India. Whoever produces the movie, let’s hope Naan Kadavul makes it to theatres.
