Pandian of Manvasanai fame was arrested
yesterday by police on charges of
cheating after a complaint was filed
by his friend Murugesan. Murugesan
in his complaint has said that Pandian
had taken Rupees 2.25 lakhs and promised
him of getting a job in a private
firm. The job was for Murugesan's
nephew.
But Pandian did not get him the job nor did
he return Murugesan's money. It is learnt that
a sum of Rupees 80 thousand was returned to
Murugesan who said that he was threatened by
Pandian when asked for the remaining money.
On receiving the complaint the Vadapalani police
registered the case and arrested Pandian at
his residence in Virugambakkam, Chennai. Pandian
had also featured in other super hit movies
like "Aanpavam" and "Kizhakku
Cheemayilae".
