It
seems that the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra
has finally managed to get over the
Rang De Basanti euphoria. Many sources
had been accusing him of basking in
the glory of his success for too long
a time. But, the director is back
with plans for a new film and going
by initial news, the director must
have been thinking hard about this
project for a long time.
Titled Delhi 6, the film is expected to come
out in late 2007. The cast has not yet been
finalized. Reports are that Abhishek Bacchhan
was the first choice but encountered date problems.
The same happened with Hrithik Roshan who was
the next choice. Now, unconfirmed reports about
Akshay Kumar being the man of Rakeysh’s
choice have surfaced. Neither Akshay nor Rakeysh
have confirmed the reports.
Rakeysh who is currently trying to get the Oscar
jury to take notice of RDB plans to start shooting
for Delhi 6 after the Oscar ceremony; he seems
pretty optimistic.
