Pyramid Saimira’s managing
director P.S. Swaminathan was arrested
by the Haryana police in a check
bouncing case under Section 138
of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
Swaminathan, a resident of Madipakkam
in Chennai, was arrested by the
police and produced before the Tambaram
court yesterday. A bail plea was
filed immediately by Saminathan’s
lawyers was heard by the Judicial
Magistrate P. Saravanan. On hearing
the petition the magistrate granted
bail. The Haryana police are waiting
for court orders to proceed further
in this issue.
