Famous for directing critically
acclaimed movies like Fire and Water,
Deepa Mehta is currently working
on two projects Kamagata Maru and
Midnight's Children. With her daughter’s
impending wedding, the director
has decided to put these projects
on hold. An excited Deepa says that
she had approved the marriage of
her daughter Devyani to a Canadian
National Ian Chodikoff and can think
of nothing else at the moment other
than the wedding arrangements. The
groom is an architect.
September 12th is the date set for
the wedding, which will be held
at Deepa’s farmhouse in Toronto,
Canada. The wedding ceremony will
be a blend of Hindu and Christian
rituals, it was revealed.
