Difference between Paiyya and Badshah

Karthi plays a taxi driver in Paiyya, revealed its director Lingusamy. There are reports that Karthi will appear in two get ups in the film. When the director was quizzed about this, he said that the story of Paiyya traverses through time and Karthi also dons the get up of a Mumbai don in the film.

However, the director was quick to point that Paiyya is not similar to the Rajinikanth starrer Badshah. The story is about the events that unfold while traveling on the highways, the director clarified.
