renamed as Seedan is not news anymore.
The director of the film, Subramaniya
Siva, has decided on the name change
a long time ago. This film is a
remake of the Malayalam film Nandanam,
which had Prithviraj and Navya Nair
as the leading pair.
There were reports that the director
has plans to rope in Dhanush to
play the lead role. However, sources
close to actor say that Dhanush
will do a guest role as disclosed
earlier and there is no change in
it. Subramaniya Siva is expected
to take up this venture after completing
Yogi, which has Ameer in the lead.
Seedan will have a newbie donning
the hero’s role. Sources also
aver that Dhanush has agreed on
the guest role as favor to Subramaniya
Siva for directing his smash hit
film Thiruda Thirudi. |
