No regrets, says Priyamani
June 23, 2009

Priyamani just missed the state award for her role in Thiraikatha. Speaking about it, the actress said that though media and fans gave rave reviews about her performance in the film, which was based on the life of late actress Srividya, she did not consider it to be a big deal. The actress was touted to get the state award for best actress.

The award finally went to Priyanka. It is reported that Priyanka and Priyamani were placed equally till the last leg but finally Priyanka bagged the award as she had dubbed for the film in her own voice.

Priyamani rued that though she knew to speak Malayalam she is yet to learn the nuances of intonation. She added that she will dub for all her future films.
