Podaa Podi, the much publicized
film, for which Silambarasan and
Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar were signed
up, has been put in cold storage.
Kollywood was abuzz with news when
the film stills, featuring Silambarasan
and Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar, made
it to the newspapers. There were
reports that the Podaa Podi team
intended to fly down to Canada for
shooting. However, over a certain
period of time there was no news
about this project.
Our enquiries in Kollwood revealed
that Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar is
not keen on the project and has
declined outright to star with Silambarasan.
With this Podaa Podi has been shelved.
It is still not clear if there a
plans to revive the project with
another leading lady.
