When S J Surya wanted to do Puli with Vijay in the lead, Asin said okay to be cast opposite the Ilaya Thalapathi. But now that Vijay is out, Asin too has pulled herself out. If the movie has no hero value, she will not be a part of it. Whom will Surya rope in to pair with him in Puli? Another Nila? Let's wait and see.

It must be remembered that the heroine pulled out of Jillennu oru Kaadhal too. The production team wanted to rope in Asin as the second heroine in the Jothika-Surya starrer but the diva flatly refused the offer. In fact, she felt a bit piqued at the invitation. Was she also not a part of the success of Gajini? Asin's fans aver that the pace of the movie picked up only in the scenes the diva appeared. Asin is determined that she will not do second heroine roles too for she knows that she has carved a niche for herself.
