Most of the Tamil movies, why even some Telugu and Hindi movies too, have been shot at gigantic sets erected in AVM for decades. Things seem to be changed now. AVM’s ever mega venture Sivaji, is being shot at sets in Ramoji Rao film city. Why, even AVM’s Ajith starrer Tirupathi is being shot at Mani Mahal in Nungambakkam.

Don’t know why, there’s not much activity at AVM premises. Some say that AVM nowadays has a sentiment that their home productions shot at AVM studios don’t do well. Others say it’s all because of the property division.
