Chandramukhi
has created a new record. It is the only
movie to have crossed 275 days in Chennai
city for the last 20 years. No movie has
crossed 275 days in the Metro after 1985.
The movie is still running successfully
at Shanthi theatre in Chennai with a seat
capacity of 600. The most interesting
fact is that Pasakiligal which was released
on pongal day recorded lesser collection
than Chandramukhi on the festive day.
Chandramukhi
has also created a new record at Abirami
theatres. It is the most run movie in
the theatre ever, running for 275 days.
Kamal’s path breaking, Apporva Sagotharargal,
in the year 1989 occupies the second place.
