MUSIC REVIEW : AATHI
Vijay

Telugu movie Athnakkode to be remade in Tamil has Vijay and Trisha in the lead. This is the 3rd time the pair is coming together after the hits of Ghilli and Tirupachi. The movie produced by S.A.Chandarasekar is directed by Ramana who has already worked with Vijay in the movie Thirumalai .
Vidhyasagar has scored the music, with recent past amalgamation of the music director with Vijay proving to super hits. Thirumalai, Ghilli and Madhurey and in this line up Aathi is not going to be an exception. Most of the five songs of the album have pace associated with them.

1) Olli Olli Udabe: (Karthik, Anuradha Sriram)

A swinging song!

The song gives a good opening to the album. Should one say much about the famous singer Anuradha Sriram. She performs extraordinarily well in these kinds of songs. Karthick being no exception has sung the song with his full energy. Vidhyasagar has given a splendid and powerful orchestration.

2) Lelaluku Lelakuku: (KK, Sujatha)

A frisky song!

The lyrics of song are very informal with the main intention being to magnetize the audience. KK, has sung the song with much ease and his voice is incredibly fitting for the song. Sujatha who is coming together with KK for the first time doesn’t get a special mention. These types of songs are very usual in Vidhyasagar’s composition with his music standing very high.

3) Thadakku Thadakku: (Hariharan, Sujatha)

A duet song!

The song begins at a faster pace and then slows down into a beautiful duet. The voice of the singers exactly suits the mood of the song. Lyrics are nothing much to write about. Vidhyasagar has come up with a fair tune.

4) Athi, Athikka: (SPB, Sadhanas Sargam)

A soft song!

The song has been penned to portray the rich family values. For the wonderful lyrics, SPB and Sadhana Sargam have added the required sheen with their voices. The tune is very pleasing to the ears and flows uniformly without much of ups and downs. Vidhyasagar has done a good job.

5) Yei Durai: (Tippu, Saindhavi)

A fast paced song!

This seems to be the song for Vijay's fans with fast percussion and beats. Tippu who has earlier done a fast number for Vijay in Thirupachi does this one too with ease and poise. It is Saindhavi, the surprise element of the song who impresses everyone with her voice. The tune of the song will nicely suit Vijay's fast movements.
