Viswasam, directed by Siva and bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films was released on 10th January. It stars Ajith Kumar, Nayanthara, Vivek, Robo Shankar, Jagapati Babu, Yogi Babu, and others.
The movie is successfully running in theatres across Tamil Nadu for about 3 weeks now along with equally strong competition from Rajinikanth's Petta. The Chennai City Box Office report according to the Behindwoods Analysis wing suggests the film has grossed around ₹ 11.38 crores till now in 18 days. Due to its incredible performance at the box office, the movie has been upgraded to the 'Blockbuster' verdict after the 'Super Hit' verdict on its second week. It will be an interesting watch to see how the film will hold against a new set of releases that had lined up on February 1st. Sundar C - STR's 'Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven', Rajiv Menon - GV Prakash's 'Sarvam Thaala Mayam' and 'Mammootty - Ram's 'Peranbu' are scheduled for February 1st release.
