Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest movie Petta, released on January 10, is running in theatres successfully. The movie was produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music of this movie with an ensemble cast of Simran, Trisha, Sasikumar, Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and others.

Karthik Subbaraj's Breaking Statement on Petta vs Viswasam controversy and box office collections

Speaking to Behindwoods, Karthik Subbaraj discussed about the ‘Petta vs Viswasam’ fights that are happening around based on the movie collections. He said,”I see it is a part of unwanted commercialisation” and expressed that a movie should be seen as an art and comparing it based on collections is unwanted.

He further explained,”It is not necessary to compare two films based on collections but only watch the movies to see if you like it or not”, and told that he has observed in theatres that people are happy after watching Petta and that is what is important.
