Pottu an upcoming big-budget Tamil horror film starring actor Bharath in the lead role, with Nikesh Ram, Iniya, Namitha, Srushti Dange, Thambi Ramaiah and Rajendran in supporting roles is directed by Vadivudaiyan. The film initially had a release for May 25th. Due to unavailability of screens in Tamil Nadu, with a large number of new films hitting the screens this weekend, Pottu will be seeing a temporary delay hoping for a better time to release the film. The production company, Shalom studios made an official statement about the unfortunate fate of the film.
 

"Pottu was supposed to release on May 25 but, due to 11 other new films releasing this weekend,  we did not get enough number of screens to show our film. Since it is a high budget project, we minimum need a good number of screens to show our film to the audience. We are highly disappointed and devastated to say we are postponing our film from the announced release date.  We request TFPC to present us with a new release date, preferably a day where very less number of films are releasing "
