Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander, during his speech at Velaikkaran audio launch, thanked the entire team and said that the film will always a special place in his heart.
 

He said, "It is a special day, as it is the audio launch of my 15th film. I know producer RD Raja anna from Ethir Neechal days, and his passion for doing good cinema is always inspiring. The content and the idea of Velaikkaran is very fresh and new. I am proud to be a part of this film.

SK, I can't leave the stage without talking about him. It is my fifth film with him. He shares one-third of my film career. We've travelled so long, and it feels emotional at this moment, to see his big growth. We've seen Sivakarthikeyan in casual jolly roles, all the while. After seeing Velaikkaran, people will have the belief that SK can pull off any kind of role with substance."
