With regard to the ongoing strike initiated by the Tamil Film Producers Council, the President of TFPC, Vishal let out a statement today. The actor said, "The Film industry is on a renovation. We are just asking for the basic necessities. We need to computerise the tickets to know how many people have watched a movie."

He also added that "We had decided to pay the digital service providers for a specific time period. After which, it is our property. We are negotiating with them and we hope this comes to an end soon."
