Whatsapp recently improved the delete feature and increased the time duration for delete to 4,096 seconds. The increased time duration was introduced a few days before, but it was heavily exploited by users. Allegedly, anyone could delete the message and even three-year-old messages could be deleted. Following the discrepancies, Whatsapp added a 'Block revoke request' feature that crosschecks the message to be deleted in Whatsapp's database to confirm if the message was sent within 24 hours.  Whatsapp for iPhones has also been updated to increase the 'Delete for Everyone' to one hour, eight minutes and 16 seconds.
