The collapse of a compound wall of a century-old mutt on Thiruvudal Street in Tiruvannamalai killed three construction workers and injured two while they attempted to dig a trench near it. Immediately following the collapse of the wall, locals rescued three construction workers, two of whom were declared dead upon arrival to the hospital. Later, one more worker was rescued and the body of another worker was retrieved from the debris by fire and rescue services personnel.
