According to reports, a 10-year-old boy, identified as K Ritesh Sai, a Class 4 student at a private school in Nesapakkam was kidnapped from his tuition centre and found murdered in an apartment near Selayur on Wednesday. Following investigations, the police picked up a man named Nagaraj, an acquaintance of the victim’s mother with whom he was rumoured to have had an affair, who during the investigation was proven to be the murderer. He then took the police officers to the scene of the crime where the boy was found in a pool of blood after Nagaraj slit his throat and hit him on the head with an iron rod. He is currently in judicial custody and further investigations are taking place.
