Former Union Minister P Chidambaram’s son Karti was arrested at the Chennai airport by the CBI on Wednesday in connection with the INX media case. Reacting to the arrest, Karti reportedly told NDTV that his arrest is an act of vendetta and “I will be vindicated.” He was accused of taking Rs 10 lakh bribe to get Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) approval for INX media to receive foreign investments when P Chidambaram was the Union Minister.
