Thiruvannamalai temple elephant dies of cardiac arrest

According to reports, the Thiruvannamalai Annamalaiyar temple elephant, Rukku passed away of cardiac arrest. The elephant was donated by the then Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa when the elephant was 7-year-old. Aged 30, the elephant died this morning, which saddened the devotees of the temple.
