Excluding the deaths that happened due to electrocution, as much as 12 people have reportedly lost their lives in the recent rain in the State. More than 7,000 people have taken refuge in relief camps, say media reports. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there won’t be heavy rain in Chennai for the next 24 hours.
