A student from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, reportedly leapt off the third floor of this hostel on Saturday at around 2:00 am. The 22-year-old final-year student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was reportedly rescued by a security officer, who found him in a pool of blood. Police are reportedly checking his phone to find out if he was playing the deadly game ‘Blue Whale Challenge’.
