Chennai airport gets this huge proposal approved

According to media reports, the Tamil Nadu government will be allotting 100 acres of land for the expansion of the airport in the capital city. Reportedly, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) earlier requested the government to allot 200 acres of land. However, it was denied by the government as the proposal of the new airport in Sriperumbudur was about to get started. But since the Sriperumbudur proposal was denied, the government has now reportedly allotted 100 acres of land for the expansion of the current airport. Reportedly, one more runway will be built in this, thereby two runways will become operational simultaneously.
