D Jayakumar visits Japan and holds lion cub, writes poem

Tamil Nadu Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar visited Japan this weekend to attend the Japan International Seafood and Technology Expo. During his visit, Jayakumar went to the safari park in Fuji.

The senior minister made a stop at the park and fondled a lion cub. He immediately took time to pen a small poem and sent it along with the photo to journalists on Whatsapp. The photo sported Jayakumar wearing the typical AIDMK attire - a white shirt and a white dhoti holding the cub with a smile on his face.

The Tamil poem he wrote can roughly be translated to, "When the lion cub saw a gallant Tamil lion from brave Tamil Nadu, he thought it was his father and jumped and sat on me.”
