NIGHT PARTY ON RAILWAY TRACK; TN ENGINEERING STUDENTS FACE TERRIBLE ACCIDENT

Four Engineering students from Coimbatore had conducted liquor party on the railway track at Ravuthur Pirivu in Coimbatore on November 13 (Wednesday) at 10:30 PM which caused the end of their lives.

D Siddique Raja (22). Rajasekar (20), M Gowtham (23), Karrupasamy (24) and M Vignesh (22) were all the students of a private engineering college in Coimbatore.

“Gowtham and Karuppasamy were the 2018 batch pass outs of the college and had come for an exam. Rajasekar was studying in the third year and two others are in their final year of engineering course. After the exam, they had gone to Rowthar Palam and were hit by the Chennai- Alappuzha express train,”  an inquiry officer was quoted as saying by HT.

Except for Vignesh who suffered severe injuries, the other students were hit by the Alleppey- Chennai Express train and only their dead bodies were recovered. The police officers confirmed that the students had come to enjoy liquor on the track and the scattered liquor bottles were also discovered at the place of the incident. 

The dead bodies were sent to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) for postmortem. A case has been registered and further investigations are underway.
