Chennai: 120 sovereigns gold jewellery robbed

According to a PT report, 120 sovereigns of gold jewellery have been robbed from a house in Ayapakkam near Ambattur on Sunday. Linguraj, the owner of the house, had left for Meenambakkam airport along with his family as his son was flying abroad. The family returned around 3 am in the morning only to see their house burgled. Apart from the gold jewellery, 1 kg of silver jewellery and utensils along with Rs 1.4 lakh cash was stolen, Linguraj reportedly said. Thirumullaivoyal police have launched a probe into the matter.
