Following the arrest of Bharathiar University Vice-Chancellor Ganapathy for allegedly accepting a bribe, his wife has also been arrested in relation to the case on Saturday. The VC’s wife Swarnalatha was arrested for dumping the cash in the bin after her husband was caught red-handed by vigilant officials while accepting a bribe of Rs 30 lakhs from a job seeker.
