Agitated by hike in ticket price, passenger attacks conductor with knife

A passenger named Velan who was traveling by government bus in Thottambatti near Dharmapuri reportedly attacked the bus conductor with a knife as he demanded the revised money for ticket. The passenger, who was accompanied by another person called Vetrivel involved in a verbal quarrel with the conductor as he was agitated by the increased ticket pricing. In a fit of rage, Velan took a knife and attacked the conductor and fled the spot. Vetrivel was caught by locals and handed over to the police. Since the conductor has not filed a case, the police reportedly let him go.
