PLANNING TO SOAK YOUR FEET IN MARINA BEACH? READ THIS!

According to a Times of India report, the coastal monitoring experts conducted a study which suggested that even soaking your feet in the waters of Marina beach may do you harm. Scientists from the National Centre for Coastal Research (NCCR) have reportedly found that five beaches in and around Chennai have extremely high levels of microbial load – mainly faecal coliforms.

Reportedly, Marina is topping the list. Uncontrolled and untreated sewage disposal into the Adyar and Cooum rivers which in turn flow into the sea is the source for the increase in the bacterial load along the coast.
