Union Budget 2018-19: More women to receive free gas connection

During the Union Budget presentation for 2018-19, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday announced the extention of Ujjawala Yojana to more women. The target is being extended from 5 crore to 8 crore women living below the poverty line who will receive a free gas connection. Arun Jaitley further added that Swachh Bharat has constructed more than 6 crore toilets, while the Centre aims to build 2 crore more toilets in the next two years.
