Two cops in Kozhikode were booked for allegedly attacking two transgenders, Jasmine and Susmin, mistaking them to be 'pickpockets' without any provocation. Jasmine was admitted to a hospital with serious injuries and is likely to be discharged on Sunday. The police registered a case under IPC 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint) and 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means).
