Internet sensation Priya Prakash Varrier on Monday had filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking to quash the cases filed against her and the ‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi’ song featuring her. The apex court on Wednesday ordered a stay on all criminal proceedings against the complaints filed in Maharashtra and Hyderabad. In her petition, Varrier had argued that the cases violate her freedom of speech and expression.
