According to reports, businessman Debojit Roy vented out his frustration on Facebook after having to walk five kilometers with his 18-month-old child and pregnant wife due to traffic restrictions during Durga Puja in West Bengal. This post criticizing the police were shared by several others on social media. Following this two defamation cases were filed against him, one by the rickshaw drivers association and the other by the police. Debojit Roy along with Anupam Tarafdar who shared the post were arrested on October 19 and released on bail on Sunday. The police reportedly haven’t dropped the charges yet and the investigation continues.
