The Bengaluru Traffic Police has reportedly collected Rs 84.28 crore as fine till September 2017 when compared to the total of Rs 67.07 crore that was collected during 2016. Estimates show that BTP will generate around Rs 113 crore this year alone. Almost 80% fines were collected for violations including reckless driving, wrong parking, and drunk driving among others and the remaining amount was collected as towing charges.
