According to reports on Times of India, a test was conducted on an Ancient Cask Premium XXX Rum from a Tasmac in Vadapalani and it showed that the rum contained more than double the permitted amount of tartaric acid. A sample of the alcohol was reportedly sent to a Tanjore based laboratory where the test result showed sub-standard quality.
