Harbhajan Singh slams ‘Hindu-Muslim’ game.

Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh on Sunday took to Twitter to express his disappointment over ‘Hindu-Muslim’ game in India. On the eve of the FIFA World Cup final between France and Croatia, Singh tweeted, “Croatia with a population of approximately 50 million will play the final of Football World Cup, and we 135 million people playing Hindu Muslims (roughly translated from Hindi).”


Croatia entered their first World Cup final in the country's history after defeating England in the semi-final. The country had earlier lost to the then-hosts France 2-1 20 years ago in the World Cup semi-finals.


France on Sunday defeated Croatia 4-2 in the final to lift the World Cup. However, the team punched above its weight to reach the final for the first time before suffering a defeat in the hands of France, which has been the best-performing team this season.
