The BJP has reportedly written to the Election Commission seeking a ban on Bollywood film ‘Padmavati’, directed by famous filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. With the Gujarat assembly elections approaching, the BJP has sought a ban or a delayed release of the movie, since it is alleged that any distortion in the film might hurt the sentiments of the Rajput community.
