A final-year diploma student, Ashok studying in a private college in Coimbatore reportedly begged on streets on Thursday to raise money to pay his pending college fee. Ashok alleged that the college refused to provide him with his transfer certificate as he was unable to pay his fee and due to the financial instability of the family, he reportedly said that he was left with no option but to beg. Reports say, the police authorities detained him and took him into custody for interrogation.
