Jasmine is one of the few actors in the
industry who does not rely on the glamour
quotient. It is quite unseen in the otherwise
hero-dominated film industry but she went
on to prove her mettle and has won a national
award acknowledging her acting prowess in
a few years of her career.
But
she is not a new face for controversies
though. She is in news every so often
for reasons ranging from her personal
life to public life. She recently
made news by entering into a temple
in Kannoor where non-hindus are strictly
not entertained. She reportedly bribed
her way into the temple and when the
news was out, paid the temple board
to perform 'parihara pooja' for sanctification.
Talking about her fondness for temple
and God, she is an ardent believer
of Matha Amrithanandamayi of Kerala.
She is even the disciple of the lady
saint and carries her image with her.
She
goes to the extent of converting her hotel
room into a pooja room performing poojas
burning incense sticks and dhoops. She
probably is asking God to bless her with
more offers, or for God's sake is she
going the philosophical way? Only she
can tell.
