Rajini
has always proved with ease that he is a
better human being who lives up to his celluloid
status. If this sounds like a cliché,
we have an incident to establish our statement.
As we all remember, Rajini headed the Imsai
Arasan 100th day function at Kalaivanar
Arangam and bestowed honors on the artistes
and crewmembers.
The
function had Vivek compering and tickling
everybody’s funny bone. Vivek
kept the audience full of beans with
his funniest anecdotes and quotes.
In the end though, when it was time
to wind up the program, he ended with
a sad note stating that he has less
hopes that the movie with him playing
as the lead will ever be released.
Vivek’s surprise was only to
be unveiled when he received an unexpected
phone call from Rajini later that
night. The superstar soothed Vivek
stating that it is the ‘Gurupeyarchi’
and time will be better for him after
this phase in life. Vivek was obviously
at a loss of words and dumbfounded
at Rajini’s geniality.
Earlier,
it was Vidyasagar’s turn to experience
Rajini’s conviviality. He was disheartened
at the audio release function of Chandramukhi
when he failed to attract a mention by
Rajini. However, Rajini, sensing the uneasiness
of Vidyasagar, called him later that night
to state that he has reserved the admirations
due for him to be showered during the
success celebrations of Chandramukhi.
The music lived up to the expectations
and the honors were bestowed on him as
promised by the superstar.
