‘Vathiyar’
the Arjun starrer is ready for Diwali
release. During the pre release press
meet, Director Venkatesh anticipates this
film to be a super hit like ‘Gentleman’.
He was much impressed with the team spirit
that was demonstrated by Arjun, which
facilitated the completion of the film
well ahead of its schedule. Director justifies
the title of his film as politics plays
a centre stage here.
Arjun
and Mallika Kapoor are the lead artists
in this film. While discussing about
the film the topic took a detour to
Arjun’s childhood aspirations
when he said that it kept oscillating
from wanting to become an army officer
to a police officer. Finally he landed
in films and has dabbled in all the
fields in films from distribution
to production to direction. But the
one that is closest to his heart is
direction. When questioned about his
intention to join politics, he said,
“Anything can happen. Nobody
knows”. So readers, please be
prepared to welcome Arjun also in
politics.
This
film, as we had earlier reported in our
website is about an honest man (Vathiyar)
who crosses paths with the malicious villain
cum politician who aspires for the CM
post. The story revolves around how Arjun
spoils the fun for this villain and brings
goodwill and cheer to people.
